Another Evening in Oakland – 2021

Oakland, California is a city of colors, contrasts and communities. It’s a city that is often known for its rough edges: for its violence and poverty. But Oakland is so much more than that; it’s a vibrant, colorful place that will surprise you with its beauty and creativity. It’s a place where music and art can transcend life’s challenges.

Come join East Bay photographer Bis De Capri as he takes us on a journey to capture the energy and humanity of Oakland’s people; their joy of life, their passion to create, and their love of community. While it might look like a festival of colors and light to the outside observer, this is just “Another Evening in Oakland.”

This exclusive NFT collection is a vibrant homage to these communities and a way to support local initiatives through art. 100% of the primary sales proceeds will be donated to local NGOs involved in Art and Education.

Exploratory NFT Collection Project – With full transparency on numbers and proceeds donated to Education NGOs

My excitement around the world of NFTs has inspired me to launch a project that I believe could be a useful extension of the blockchain program for those interested in learning more about this rapidly evolving application. We’ll test and get a better understanding of the whole NFT process, including minting, distributing, and promoting an NFT collection.

For this project, we’re releasing a collection of 22 original art pieces taken in the city of Oakland, Berkeley’s vibrant and colorful neighbor. We’ve turned the images into an NFT collection, and are making it available on OpenSea, the main NFT platform.

This is meant to be an educational experience while we get to know the NFT process, so 100% of the primary sales proceeds will be donated to NGOs supporting the Arts and Education in Oakland and Berkeley.

We will document the entire process, from the creation to the minting, the distribution, the promotion, and the actual sales on the photographer’s website. We will share all the data: the bids, the auctions, the proceeds, the royalties, the fees, the ratio between primary and secondary sales, and the donations. By the end of the project, the goal is to have a much better understanding of the whole NFT Process.
